ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
The Red Dragons began to piece together ambitious plans the moment that a stunning takeover of the club by two Hollywood actors was completed in the spring of 2021. Mullin moved to North Wales later that year – stepping down into the National League as a League Two Golden Boot winner – while Lee completed a switch from Championship side Luton in 2022.

WHAT LEE SAID
Lee has told of why he and Mullin have no regrets – as doubters now want to join them – with the pair having committed to new contracts at SToK Racecourse through to 2027: “We both took a bit of criticism dropping out of the league from an outside point of view. But if you actually speak to the manager and speak to the owners, you could see there's a pathway for a lot of success here. Maybe taking one step back was the best option for us in our careers at that point and it has proved to be that way. If you ask a lot of players now, they will want to come to Wrexham, and even managers and coaches. It is a great place to be and a great place to play. It was probably one of our better decisions.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mullin has been a prolific presence for Wrexham, while Lee tops their scoring charts this season on 13 goals, and the pair are loving life at a club that continues to set the loftiest of targets. Lee added: “When you find a home like me and Mulls have here, you shouldn't take it for granted because it doesn't always happen in football. Here, I have just fallen in love with the club and the people. Day-to-day we just enjoy ourselves. We all get along so well, they are great people to work with and when you get that feeling every day, why would you go elsewhere? It is something you should treasure because it won't last forever. I am over the moon and just want to make more memories.”
